{London, Ontario Wedding} Genevieve and Jimmy

You don't have to rent a big banquet hall.  You don't have to have 300 guests.  You don't have to abide by a strict timeline or checklist.  You don't have to do any of these things to get married - all you have to do is make the decision to spend your lives together.  The rest is just details.  

Genevieve & Jimmy made sure they did their day their way.  An intimate ceremony in the backyard, surrounded by their children, family and friends.  Home cooked food, kids swimming, adults getting to chance to catch up during busy lives, and family you haven't seen in years.  These are the important moments in life.

Nothridge Inn Muskoka Wedding - Heather & Eric Sneak Peek

Destination Wedding Photographer Jamaica - Simone and Cale

Simone & Cale are two of the luckiest people in the world.  Not only did they find each other in this insane world, but they were able to fly to a beautiful country, and say in front of 70 family and friends that had taken the time to fly in from near and far that not only were they lucky to be with each other, but that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Life isn't always easy.  It can be busy, stressful, daunting and exhausting.  But that week in Jamaica at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, life didn't just slow down; it stopped completely, long enough for Simone, Cale, their family and friends to take everything in, to enjoy the moments together, and to breathe.  To remember that this is what life is about.

{Huntsville Wedding Photography} Jen & Jamie

Just a quick preview of Jen & Jamie's wedding at Pow-Wow Point Lodge in Huntsville, Ontario.  If you haven't been there, it's a great spot for a wedding or getaway - even when it's pouring rain!

{St. Thomas Engagement Session} Kylee & Jaremee

I tell my clients that I like to shoot in a natural style, laid back and relaxed with little posing, and enjoy working with couples that like to just be themselves.  Kylee & Jaremee were a great example, showing that when you give just a little direction but let a couple be themselves, their genuine feelings can be easily captured.  It's not about placing a hand here, a kiss there - it's about the couple being themselves, and being authentic.

We had a great time at the newly renovated St Thomas Train Station (such a gorgeous spot for wedding receptions, by the way!), and then at Little Beach in Port Stanley, where we didn't let a little freezing water get in the way of our fun.  Well, they didn't.  I stayed warm and dry on the beach.
